Stephanie Campbell is an avid sailor and racer based in Anacortes with a very impressive sailing resume.  She started racing with her parents on their Catalina 27 at age 5 and hasn’t stopped since.  She grew up racing El Toros her dad built and then moved on to Lasers and taught sailing at the Seattle Yacht Club during high school summers and was a member of the Western Washington University sailing team during college.  Stephanie currently owns a Santa Cruz 27 “Wild Rumpus” in which she has won two national championships.  In addition to her passionate involvement in sailing, Stephanie is a 2nd grade teacher by profession as well as the lead racing reporter for 48 North.

Last summer, Stephanie signed on to crew on a Beneteau 40 in the Rolex Fastnet Race.  With over 600 entries, the Fastnet is the largest sailing race in the world.  The course was almost 700 miles long running from England to Ireland and this year finishing in France for the first time.  Stephanie will be sharing her experience from this latest sailing adventure  including the process of boat and crew preparation through the race itself.  It is a great opportunity to meet and hear from one of the top sailors in the Pacific Northwest.
