Windward Women is the name for the SWYC group of women who love the water and who get together to enjoy each other’s company, learn more about Whidbey Island, sailing, kayaking and just having a fun time! Watch for updates for programming.
Our Mission
Our mission as Windward Women in the South Whidbey Yacht Club is to welcome and get to know each other. We learn about each other in ways that foster connection and support our individuality. We explore the community of Whidbey Island and beyond, encouraging each other to try new adventures. At times, we are Wayward.
2026 Events
The Windward Women have scheduled events. Sometimes they meet at a restaurant and chat over a meal. Sometimes it is a tour of Whidbey Island. Sometimes it is meeting at a designated place to hear a guest speaker share his/her knowledge of Whidbey. These outings may occur during the week, during evenings or during weekends so all of our Windward Women should be able to find outings to enjoy that fit their schedules.
2026 is already shaping up to be full of local tours, socials and monthly hikes (or strolls) through one of our Whidbey Island trails or beaches. Be sure to read through all the events posted below and mark your calendars.
